For an EFI system does it really matter what end of the system you mount the regulator at? Obviously the closer to the motor it is the less length of pressurized hose you have, but that also means the longer the length of the return/bypass hose.

I ground my 5.0 heads to match the exhaust manifolds and gaskets. You can remove a **** load of metal.

I just did my 9" about a few weeks ago, here's teh rough specs I used for both bearing preloads. Once I completed the pinion pre-load I replaced with the solid spacer kit.

Internal blow back of gasses is huge, it makes a substantial mess. After about 400-500 rounds or so it starts to impair the operation. It took me 4+ hours to clean :beer: All that blowback wants to go "somewhere", and as it's looking for places to go it finds the bolt catch which is designed...

One thing to take note of is that the heavier rounds have a longer bullets and sometimes, not always, they are too long for the mags. Black Hills is the stuff I use in the one AR, but I use the lighter 50gr V-max because of the barrel twist....and the cheaper reloaded (blue box) stuff :redneck:

It's a Millet TRS-1, picked it up used. It's decent for the money but it's no NF, S&B or Swarovski... Quality will make a difference at that range...closer in, less than 300-400 not as much. I have a Night Force on my .308 and it's tits...
