    Dumb bushing tech questions.

Got it all done. The bolt head did the trick, not much of a gap so I used a flanged head bolt and then put a punch jammed in there to keep it pushed into the crack and got them all out pretty quick without damage.

Ill try the bolt head idea. I did pull the metal sleeve out I could throw it in the freezer too and see if it helps thanks guys

    Dumb bushing tech questions.

I should have greased them for sure. I tried a round punch and it just cut into it. I was tired when I was working otherwise I would have done it different. But now just trying not to destroy the stupid things

    Dumb bushing tech questions.

I'm putting a new ls3 in my buggy. I am doing bushing mount instead of hard mount. I had to assemble the bushing mount (roughstuff specialties bushings in 2inch 1/4 Dom style). To check bolt location etc during mock-up and now I can't get the stupid things apart without damaging them. I have...

    3.0 vs 3.8

You like the 3.8 for a little lower gearing?

    3.0 vs 3.8

Looking at a new atlas with a new transmission. I going to run a 6l80e which has a 4:1 first gear. I'm just curious to give a balance of crawling vs wheel speed what do you guys like? I'm leaning towards 3.0.

    Belly pan / skid plate

I use carriage bolts in one rig, 1/4in steel plate, and countersunk on my other with 1/4 stainless. Love the carriage bolts for taking it on and off, never hung up on them. Like the countersunk cause there is nothing to grab onto but not as easy to take off.

    Atlas tcase??

5:13. With 43in stickies. I thought of the 205. But didn't know if I could make it fit with how tight the space I have is. And there is a 3:1 kit for them I believe by low max if I wanted deeper gears. But the size is my main concern. Gearing wise it would be about under what I have now...

Do you mean on the outputs as far a spline count? or are there other factors?

    Atlas tcase??

I am changing my drivetrain. I have an Atlas 4 speed and changing to a two speed. I have two questions. I am going to an aluminum 6.2 with 6speed trans. It has a 4:1 first gear. I'm thinking of going to a 3.0 atlas. My figuring is I run a 4.3 for crawling now with a 2..7 first in my...

Dumb question dumb topic. What you got

So my kids buggy has one of those dumb lock style lug nuts and therefore we have to carry a specialty socket. typically we have all three buggies to gether and keep on in the tool box but its not always the case which made me think I should mount it to the roll cage somehow. Anyone have any...

    My head hurts math.

So what I ended up doing was getting the shift points good for real world driving and then used the app for the digital dashboard to manipulate the speedometer and now I have good shifting and accurate speedometer. Pretty cool.

    My head hurts math.

Maybe I have it figured out? Keeping the gear ratio the same to compensate for 39 in tires and 5.38 gears in the axle I need to leave the gear ratio in the computer at 2.86 because it's accurate and change the tire size to13.5 in. My math says that should put it close. Or am I crazy

    My head hurts math.

The computer wants to see my speed to determine trans shifting. I can keep shift points oem and let it think it's driving a car on 27 in tires and it will shift correct. But if I can figure the math I should be able to get a functional speed reading for the digital dash also.

    My head hurts math.

I'm trying to correct the speedometer readings on my kids transaxle buggy. The problem that I have is if I put in the Total drive gearrange which is 8.24. 538 in the axles and 286 is in the transaxle. Then it messes my stuff up even more. I believe this is because the output speed sensor is on...
