    Battery/Charger Inquiry (again)

The battery in the link won't hurt your ESC, you just need be be sure not to over-discharge the pack. Some people are afraid to run a LiPo pack without a cutoff circuit. I've never had a LiPo cutoff. I just make sure to shut it down at the first sign of voltage dropping. If you run the packs too...

    Critical Critique

If you can use your charger or not depends on what the charge rate is. Like mentioned above, a low charge rate is better, at .5 - 1 amp, they will take an hour or so to charge. If you're facing replacing your charger as well as the batts, you should really look into if you can afford to...

    Critical Critique

You should definitely do some type of 4 link setup on the uppers, get rid of the three link. You could also trim the skid plate and move the lower links to the inside of the chassis plates. The full size battery is hurting you as well. A setup similar to this axial part would help you a lot A...

Start of my 4x4 Scale RC

Sorry for the delay, but your warcrc account is active now. I approve them manually to stop the spam influx, and don't get to it every day. Sounds like you've got a good start on a scaler with the SCX10. Sidewinder ESC should fit your needs fine. Motor - A lot of the scale guys go for a lot...

    Spektrum DX2.0 to DX3.0 conversion

If you got the resistor too hot it may have killed the resistor? Never heard of this mod, do some web searching, see what others who have attempted it have experienced. Maybe you'll find something, but it seems like a pretty risky mod to attempt, but a great trick if you can get it figured out.

how do you fill the shocks properly?

Torque twist can be an issue, but it can be controlled to a manageable level. Assuming you're running an AX-10, I'd recommend a 4-link conversion be high on your list of upgrades. It will do a lot to help the twist, and improve the overall performance of your crawler. Guessing that if your...

Yep, next comp is in Startup, I think Crash made a thread here with the details. I'm sorry you had to deal with hobbytown at Southcenter, they are a disgrace to well-meaning shops everywhere, and are why people shop on the web. Give RCH in Covington a shot, thats where I shop. If your son...
