Thanks a lot.
Yea, they are, good eye. It was a good time with awesome weather, but I honestly prefer Moonlight. I was concerned about crowding on the trails there though.

Thanks 1tonxj 8)

For sure Viking. I didn't think it was going to be ready in time so I was stoked.

Thanks a lot.
What's funny is now that I'm wheeling this mostly tube buggy, my mind wanders into wanting to buy a rolling chassis s10 (or something similar) and swap everything over to it. I still love bodied rigs with 1 tons/stretched wheelbase. For the moment I'm just wanting to spend some time in the woods.
Came across a couple other pics.

No big updates. However I will mention with out even having to post a wtb, I had a couple guys on here message me about finding red labels not too far from me. It ended up resulting in getting a set of 4 less than 2 hours away. :driving: Thanks again guys! I'm rocking 2 in the rear for the moment. Nothing crazy about these few pics. My goal for the year is to be better about getting footage of my friends and I wheeling. My girlfriend will be able to help out with that, big time.

Basically realized this is like an anti-build thread with only "finished" pics. I'll post some past pics of the progress.

So here it is in October 2012 when I picked it up.

Started cutting, and building a hp44/9" for it. 3 link front/4link rear on 37s.

Plating the whole "frame"

Broke a 44 ujoint on the 3rd run with all the new work. So that is when bigger axles, bigger tires, and more tube started to happen.

Still 3 link front, 4 link rear. Radiator mounted in back. Front pushed forward around 6.5", rear pushed back around 6.5" for total of 114" wb. All seat tube/mounts created. Battery tray made. All rewired, which sucked balls. Made my own driveshafts. Bump stops dialed in/limit straps installed. The list goes on. It was a lot of work. I don't have great pics of every aspect.

Loving this build! Do you have some finished interior pics? like what you did with the shifters?
Thanks a lot!
No updated pics of interior.

Below is a pic of some floor board work I had to do earlier on. It was rusty and it gave me a great opportunity to finish out the upper link mount once I cut out the floor. Plate is not welded in that pic. Hard to see it, but it meets up with the stiffener on the right side, and that is what it was welded to.

Been thrashing on it when I can. Added an A pillar support and did a few odd/end things. I have all kinds of ideas in my head, but I hate when it's down because I want to wheel. I've been thinking about building another rig, fuller bodied xj maybe to be the GF's, plus a good back up for when this is under the knife.
