Has anyone done this? How much of a PITA are the spacers and tone ring to get on and off? Should I just bring the axles somewhere to have them removed and installed? Thanks

Unlkess you have a junk axle housing to cut/make into a tool then good luck.

Even if you have a press, how ya gonna get a bearing splitter bigger than a backing plate?

Its a shitty job without the right tools.

Just find a national or napa that can press on the new one for ya.

It'll be going to NAPA once I get em out. Just wanted to confirm what I was thinking.

DO NOT REUSE, OR USE AFTERMARKET RETAINERS OR SIGNAL RINGS.
I have all the **** to do axle bearings, have done hundreds.
And even slight galling of the axle will prevent it from sealing properly.
Retainer and signal ring depth also have to be correct.

Will you R&R mine for me? If so how much $$?

Both sides, I'll be taking the axles out next Thursday (9/20) and should have em ready to R&R the spacers, tone ring and bearings on Friday.

Ok. As long as I either have the truck or untouched axles (not dissassembled or messed with) its no biggie.

Ok, I have most of the parts already. I just need 2 more spacers and the tone rings.
