2000 cabrio trans fliud

So the A/t trans in the wifes Cabrio does not have a dipstick but rather a level plug.

For you VW guys does this sound like the process for replacing the filter and fluid?

Sounds about right. I've never done a 4 speed just the 5&6 speed autos. I can check tomorrow on the redline fluid we use. Unless you have a good source for fluid already.

Sounds right with everything I've found online about the 01M trans. BTW....let me know how it works for you. I should probably change mine (hint hint, practice tranny)

I have always sucked it out........no pun intended. A cheap hand pump and 20 minutes and 90% of the fluid is out. Never thought of the way on the link. Interesting....
