Size wise, how are they different than the 14 bolts? I'm talking ground clearance and weight.

a regular 14b is actually pretty "compact" for a big axle.

R&P, install kit, locker and carrier all together are not cheaper either :****:

The AAM 11.5" axle is more equivalent to a Dana 80, not a 14 bolt.

I was just wondering cause I saw one local for sale. Wants $500 for it, comes with all new brakes and a 1350 yoke. But being a 3.73 I would need a new carrier and gears.

If anyone is looking for one, let me know and I'll pass the info.

That's better than the price I found. I've seen two for sale recently. $1k and $2k each.

I got lucky a couple years ago and bought one from a guy that was under a 2006 1 ton Chevy with a gas engine, gave him 250 bucks for it and he even pulled it out for me, had 4.10 gears, disc brakes, I put it under my 1997 dually. But it was not a direct swap my any means.
