3.0 swap wiring question. auto/stick harness

my buddy just swapped a 3.0 out of a 5 speed truck into an automatic truck and the only issue he's having is the truck will start in any gear now. is there a way to make the plug that goes into the tranny work so it will only start in park?

I'm gonna go search pirate and see if I can find anything but I'm not even sure where that info might be so I dunno if I'll find anything.

I like being able to start mine in gear. For hills and such.

this truck is just a stock daily driver. If my buddy cant figure out how to make it work then the owner will just have to deal with it I guess.

change ecu's..........I'm surprised that it will even shift correctly..I got one if ya need it.

the ECU works fine. he drove it around today with no issues. he just wants to make it only start when in park.
