3.0 timing belt replacement

Any tips or tricks to ease in this? for reference, i have a full shop, with air, and all tools needed.
Just helped with one the other weekend...pretty straightforward. Used a breaker bar on the crank pulley and bumped the motor to break it loose. Replace the waterpump while you're in there if it hasn't been done recently. Pulled the hydraulic tensioner off and used a vise to compress it and an allen key to hold it in place while we bolted it back up.

can anyone verify, is the 3.0 interference or non?
i've heard both. I havent checked to see if anything took a hit when the belt broke

It is non-interference. However, I recommend treating it as if it were an interference motor. I have seen enough carbon built up on the valves/pistons to turn these into interference motors.

The 88-92 3VZs are manually tensioned, the 93-95s are hydraulic.

They're ezmode. Nothing to it.
