5.7 tbi or 5.3ls

I have a 5.7 tbi in the garage which I haven't torn into yet. I have a friend that has a 5.3 for sale at a decent price. Which would you go with?
Looking at cost and performance numbers I'm leaning towards the 5.3.
Motor will be going in a 4runner w/ th350/205 60/14blt 5.13 gears and 42s

Go with the 5.3. I have a 5.7 TBI that works great but performance upgrades are limited due to the TBI limiting air into the engine.
They are good simple fuel injection systems but outdated technology.

5.3 way to go for sure...got two of em. Lots of support from aftermarket with bolt on goodies...
