86 efi 4runner no spark

So the truck has brand new coil igniter cap plug wiresit will run for 3 min then dies and has no spark once it cools down it will start again any ideas?

It's not even mine lol it is super clean though. He has put 1500 bucks into it in the last month between parts and someone else working on it I felt bad and brought it to my place I am going to try a distributor tomorrow and try to hunt down an ecu to try. After that I am out of ideas

The previous mechanic replaced the tps I have to get new batteries in my multimeter to see if it was installed correctly

TPS won't cause a no spark...

Only 2 things that will cause no spark with a new igniter. The pole piece in the dist (also loose injection pulse) or loss of voltage/ground to the igniter.

Or a bad new ignitor---that NEVER happens! :haha: But yeah, if you have no injector pulse either, I'd look at the dist...
One other thing to look at is the EFI main relay, has it gotten wet??? They're known for failing due to water intrusion...
