More tech for the new hardline .

I am doing some winter work to my buggy that might interest some. ..especially when i tell you I'm dropping the ori's and moving up to fox 16" coilovers with resi. Don't rise up in protest about the ori's, i love them i would use them again in the future, just trying to get every ounce of performance out of my trail rig. Just sharing my work.

Original build thread on NC4X4, http://www.nc4x4.com/index.php?threads/83829/
Is a long read but some may enjoy

The fox are 2" longer at bump than my old set up so i needed to redo my upper shock mounts. Currently i had 5"/6" up travel f/r, seeing as i had to move stuff went ahead and increased my up travel to 7.5"f/r. Very easy job in the rear, up front i had to rebuild my truss to get the upper mounts lower on the axle for chassis clearance.

Any how onto the pics

nice work. love my 16" Fox COs. never used ORIs, but have no reason to want to.

cool buggy. what headlights are those (was lazy and didn't go through the build thread)? ;D

Re:

Thanks tfrot

Front sheet metal is 2009 dodge charger, chassis is Jim's Garage #7 that i traded for that had been untouched since leaving Jim, the rest of the work i did in 2010-2011.

that's sharp! looks fast sitting still :driving:

I've always felt its a shame that we have to paint/powdercoat everything because sometimes a really nice piece freshly welded looks nice raw/unpainted :smoke:

now have the truss complete minus a couple brake line tabs, and limit strap connections; I'll get to those when the upper shock mounts are complete to optimize placement.
