I dont know crap about Toyotas, but my amigos got a 95ish 4 runner, the engime was rebuilt last year but the guy that did it reused the old timing chain which of course broke. I can get the truck for a song, is it worth rebuilding and selling/driving?

I had the timing belt break in half in my 88 4runner's 3.0 while going down the road.I put a new one in it my driveway and it worked fine.The 3.0 is not a zero clearance motor and breaking the belt should not do anything to the valves-pistons.
Pick it up for a song ,fix it and drive it.
