Yup. ZF axles with 22:1 final ratio, dual-ended hydros built in to the housings, dual U-joints at the hub, internal planetary reduction in the hubs, internal wet brakes in the housing and psudo high-pinion. Rated at 3 tons I think.

I have a loose set that I may entertain selling in order to entertain getting this whole truck if anyone's interested.

More than no shocks - no suspension. Those axles are solid mounted to the frame in the center!

This thing isn't meant to drive on the street. I think its top speed is like 45mph with the 6.2 screaming and using 1 quart of oil a min. Its meant to pull huge aircraft very slowly and controlled with extremely deep gears.

We had a Ford version in our shop once. The airport was complaining that it wouldn't go over 45mph. It was an extremely heavy duty chassis with an F250 cab and like 80" wheelbase. I don't know what the axles were or ratio but it was really deep. It took us a week to finally realize that the computer governed it at 45mph because any faster the short wheelbase was scary. We had to call Ford's special units engineering center or some **** to figure it out and the airport was very disappointed with their purchase. I guess they bought it expecting it to be a race car or something, dumb.

And people generally refer to them as tugs, not towers.

Runs and drives fine.... automatic pre-heat doesn't always work......

I don't have any video

Ive seen this thing in person it is what he says runs and drives good and the steering i believe is on a switch.Drive normal / or all 4 steer.And yes it is a pulling sumbitch period.
