So I bought a set of steel allied wheels and ordered custom aluminum rings. Do most just line the tire up the best you can and cinch them down since there is no alignment lip? The stock rings help align and have about a 5/16 step in them but they don't fully seat on the rim anyway. I can have a 32 bolt 5/8 ring water jetted that would act as a spacer and align the tire. Is it really that big of a deal or should I say ****it and bolt them up?

I ordered my Allied wheels with their aluminum rings and they were milled with a lip to align the tire. Your setup shouldn't really be any different to mount than any other DIY beadlock. Not as easy as having a lip, but not hard to get it lined up and bolted down.
