Hey there everyone just putting a shout to and saying hi. Glad to find a board for us guys up here in the NW. Hope I find a few Toyota owners on here. I currently own 4 Toyotas (some of you can relate to me on this). I know I addicted but what can I say I love those rigs. I've got a 87 SAS'd Runner a 88 SAS'd Runner a 84 ex cab pickup and a 76 FJ40. I'll post pictures soon. My next project is going to be my 84 ex cab. Its going to get 1 ton full widths and a s/b swap.

Here a poser shot just to show you my recent build. Its the one in my avater and I did the SAS in 36 hours. I had to get it together for a trip to Moab in a very short time and it did pretty good for being as new as it was. Here's what happens when you don't spend the money on the 30 spline longs the first go around.

Right after that picture was taken this happened

I'm already ahead of you. I already have the next truck sitting in the driveway waiting for me to start. But the runner in the picture has 30 spline longs I had over nighted to me after I broke the other side the next morning. You know what really sucked about breaking that first one though. I hadn't even gotten to the trail yet. I only only a 100 yard down the trail and was just checking out my suspesion on that rock when it blew on me.

BTW those were profields with cromo inners. Yeah I screwed up the inner splines as well.

gotrocks nice lookin rig. how did you manage that broken birf? what size tires and are you locked up front?
just wondering, im worried about birfs all the time until i start my job and get some longfeilds.

thanks, I'm running 37x14.50 toyo's on 15x12 rims. Really wide stance. Yeah I'm locked as well. The funny thing is once I put the 30 splines in I broke my R/P 2 days later. Oh the joys of 4 wheeling

One of the guys wheeling a Toy last weekend has a sticker that said: "I caught your Jeep thing and now it burns when I pee"

thanks, to let you all know what it has now that you're probably wondering. I've got Marlin f/r 4" lift springs. My own homebrew front spring crossmember. Marlin high steer, Marlin dual stock 2.28 cases, 30 spline longs up front after blowing 3 birfs in 2 days in moab during spring break, a lockrite and 5.29's. My rear axle has the TRD e-locker as well that I've converted over to a calbe locker. I'm running 37x14.50x15's on 15x12 MT Classic II's. I also have a home built front winch bumper that I whipped up the night before we left for Moab and Trail Gear/Marlin Crawler rock sliders. Warn 9000i winch and H2 headlight conversion.

My other 4Runner got pretty much stripped to build my 88. I had just rebuilt the engine in my 87 and was taking it out on its maiden voyage when we lost compression in the engine up wheeling. Here a picture of what she looked like in her glory days.

I pulled the cases and axles from that runner in order to have something for moab. I already have another set of axle for it and need to get another adapter to get the duals back in. Its got rears up front, mazda 2wd rear with a buggy leaf. Its got a complete rap around bumper system and did I mention that its a SR5 with every option. It really is my dream 4 runner and I hope to get it back running soon. Its also got a NWOR header and 2.5" exhaust.

83 SR5 on 40's

My first Toyota 85 ex cab on 35 bfg's with lock rights.

An 85 runner with EFI that I bought for 800 bucks

Theres a few more that I can't find at the moment as well.

i like your half- doors. are they plexi / lexan? im making some with steel tube and plexi for my jeep

well they came with my 4 runner I think they are plexi. Its the only way I'm able to run without doors leagally. We don't have that nice little floor lip like you jeep boys
