So is it still open for signing? Even though it made its goal, the most support for the cause the better. Im just thinking if more people sign the petition it will show how much support there is for it.

And we still haven't even hit 28,000...
 
I believe from what I have seen and heard on the TV and such that these petitions have to have 100,000 signatures now to reach the Presidents desk. It was 25,000 in his first term but they were so overwhelmed with nonsense petitions that they raised the bar to stem the tide.
