Here's a real question though, I'm fighting rear pinion angle and articulation angles, will longer arms improve axle wrap/squat? Also on the list for questions my uncle never asked... my club only knows about TouchUp paint...

How well do these do for touchup jobs?

Pokey nailed it... These guys need some help, not be hung publicly. Quite a few of their members are good customers of mine, and I haven't met any with a sour heart. I'm sure the guys involved (including Matt, I spoke to him yesterday) had good intentions. The first post made it sound like the guy was violently winched out of the groups way so they could pass, when in fact it's come out that they helped him numerous times. I never leave people behind, but I also know there's a point when people can be drunk and stubborn and you don't want to help them anymore. Again, not saying I wouldn't have made sure these guys got back to camp, but theres a difference between being stranded alone, in dangerous conditions, with no contact. This guy was at Tahuya, with friends close by that he was in contact with. If it's true that this guy behaved the way I heard, there may have been a point that I would have said have your friends get over here and help you.

Some of these guys are pretty well seasoned wheelers, and some are very green. Yes, a lot of them are a different breed then most of us on here, but they are still free to use our systems like we are.

I disagree with them wanting to change what we have to suit them, but instead of bashing them on forums, maybe next time you see them on the trail have a quick chat with them and tell them what it takes to have what little we have in the way of ORV areas. Point them to the trails that are better suited for their rigs, and which trails they should avoid. Help educate them a little on what they should carry as far as spares and recovery gear.

I look back to when I was new to all of this, I did some pretty stupid sh!t I'm not proud of, and I've learned a lot along they way. I'd still probably be a jack ass if I hadn't hung out with people from this and other forums, and read posts like these.

Hard for me to want to support people that want to pave easy trails and leave people broken on the trail.

Everyone needs time to learn & progress. 2bigbroncos were mentioned, did anyone see what Kurts Bronco looked like after a couple years? How about Gibby who started out putting truck condoms on his 4runner when we first started running trails with him? What does that 4runner look like now? I think it has 60's & a few other goodies these days. Heck I started out with those stupid smittybuilt nerf bars until I crammed one into the body. We all learn given the chance, those who don't usually aren't around after a year or 2.

Looks like some of the folks from ASJC will be volunteering their time on Saturday Feb 22nd at Reiter Foothills; the planned work party this weekend. Will anyone participating in this thread be there volunteering as well? Might be a good time to....MeetUp:D

I didn't waste much time reading down, but am I reading correctly that the club is charging $5 per vehicle for non-club members to come run on public land? Was this an event they were properly permitted to be charging for? :haha:

No. As a matter of fact from what I understand DNR showed up and tried to issue a $85 ticket to everybody there. They split up into groups of 10 to avoid that.

Nope just don't like to see us eating our own. its not like these guys are out tearing anything up or destroying our trails they just need to be educated on the way things work. Trust me their not going to be paving any trails near you soon. (heck that's my job remember) :haha:

I've been out a few times with Gavin and Nick. Not near as much as they'd like me to. I don't like being a passenger. Doesn't matter what kind of automotive sport it is.
