u-joint vrs wheel joint

If I where stating that I break my u-joint I was referring to the joint in the drive-line, If I where breaking the wheel joint I would have used that nomenclature,

Just to be clear, even a birfield could be described as a wheel joint.

and if your worried about you drive line flopping around and breaking stuff, fabricate a loop of steel around it like your Nissian pals do,

My dear little mushrooms, Try to follow along,

Perfect. One more thing to drag on the rocks and potentially break. This guy is brilliant!

Hey sex-change, describe a good weakest link system that will allow the loop to be easily re-attached when it breaks off :cheer:

I want to see him actually break a toyota u-joint before the Pinion gear goes boom in an 8 inch toy third.

And my drive lines see rocks. A cage around the drive line would not survive and it would end up being torn off and cause more damage then it protected from.

And no we are not your mushrooms, go suck on a hot dog:fawkdancesmiley:

hey, bag on lube boy all you want, but dont bring mushrooms into this.

Mushrooms dont deserve the bad rap at all.

Do you carry a bolt extractor in your rig?? He said sheared off. I'm thinking worse case scenario and you jacked up your flange and your ****ed in the butt my tranny slut.

Stick to your heep poop, you don't know **** if you think an extractor will ever be needed. :flipoff:

As far as the sexually confused poster you're fawking dumb. I've ran 2 bolts in the front driveline at the diff with 38's and a big dumb 355. Guess what, I busted the birfs. :haha:

A340 e/h

Hey Toyota clowns

I going thru a A340 E/H and am a bit stumped about how to go about removing the selector shaft for the Trans and the transfer case to change out the seal,

There is a metal band wrapped around the shafts that covers a roll pin or set scew, Do I break the band off,?? there is no replacement part in the Overhaul kit,

They are not leaking but I would like to change them, I can only get a Book for the Tranny end of things not the transfercase, so I bagged the Book and flying blind,

But if there where a book written by Toyota it might tell me to use 140w oil in the transfer case, when its filled with ATF.

I dont have the book infront of me, but I think you have managed to piss off the few people that can answer that question off the top of their head.

Depends on where the overhaul kit came from. YOu might have to get that part seperatly. And I dont think you have to destroy anything to replace a seal.

Why not just throw another a340 at it. You can usally get them for free and they work just fine.

What did your book of grease say to use :haha:

cut it off and throw it away, you don't the strap it's just there for looks. :awesomework:

Stock or upgraded?

Stock, I never wasted money to upgrade on that truck when I was breaking front gears even with stock birfs. A healthy V8 is a bad idea with yota stuff in the mud. :haha:

Hey twigs & berries, Ihave a couple A340's I can check out when I get home but I'm confused as to why the non leaking seals need replacement. Hell I don't see a point in rebuilding one either when a good used one can be had for a case of beer or less.

I guess it helps to not be an elitist assbag and people will hook ya up. So I guess I answered my own question as to why you are rebuilding. ...

I do have the Toyota factory manual for that down in the garage. Just a bit too hot to get motivated enough to go down there. Just sayin'.
