avg crawl ratio ?

speaking of crawl ratios has anyone done rim rock specifically chicken **** and blue slide with an auto???

I plan to next weekend...At least one of them....

Tree climber..I suspect you are talking in general, but I'll say it anyway....chicken **** and blue slide are technically downhill only...

I was speaking generally, but also specifically about the Rimrock area, with Blueslide in particular. I've got no problem with running Blueslide down, even in the steep spot near the bottom. Yeah, i'm actually driving (stepping on the gas) to keep the tires rolling, as the transmission in first provides too much compression braking and the tires start skidding. It's always fun when the dust bunnies are rolling down the hill faster than the tires.

Stock V6 tranny 3.6:1
X
Stock T case ~2.2:1
X
Axle ratio's 4.63:1
=

~37:1

Not Low enough:booo:

I think I would love to have 30:1, 60:1, and ~100:1, that is with my tires now, if I bumped up to 35's or 37's, i think i'd want somewhere in the 150:1 range.

L45 3.93, dual stock cases 2.28x2, diffs 4.37 = 89:1, good enough for the trails i run but wouldnt mind some 4.7's in the 2nd case

454/TH400/2.72klune/NP205/4.56
22:1 205 low
30:1 klune low
61:1 double low

I am very pleased with those gear ranges.

I have 100:1 with a manual tranny, and on steep down hills like at rim rock I give it gas going downhill, but on technical rock climbs I wish I was a little lower geared with the manual.....

R151f 4.313 (5.15) supposed to have this gear set....
first case 2.28
second 4.7
Diff 4.11

= 189 to 1 with 4.3 first gear

=226 to 1 with 5.15 first

sammy trans 3.65
rock block 1.8
T/C 5.8
Diffs 5.83
222.1 final
Snow and steep rocky off camber it works well but most of the time I use the standard low(123.1)or 4 high with the rock block only(80.1)
