axle lengths

I'm looking for some help with axle lengths. My brother is narrowing a chevy dana 44 and wants to use stock inners from a Wagoneer, early bronco or scout II. If you have any of these axles laying around the garage could you measure from the end of the spline to the center of the yoke (u-joint) for me. I'm looking for long side and short.

I think that will work. It looks like the short side of his blazer matches the short side of the early bronco's

my long side d44 bronco axle measures 28" from the end of the splines to the ujoint.

I think that will work. It looks like the short side of his blazer matches the short side of the early bronco's

same length but the eb 44 uses a small 30 u joint and the blazer uses the larger 44 joint.
