Baffles in rear needed?

So i'm getting ready to put my third member back into the 4runner and am wondering if I have to put those baffles back in or would it be fine to leave them out. I kinda damaged the passenger side baffle when removing the third and don't really feel like trying to find a replacement.

You can run without them--did for a long time...

And to add--your aftermarket rear housings also do not have internal baffles...

although not needed, they do make installing the axle splines into the carrier just alittle bit easier...
