I straight axled my 88 toyota with a dana 44. I changed the master cylinder over to a chevy one but my brake are still not working. You can pump them up and have brakes but as soon as you let off and put you foot back on the brakes the pedal goes to the floor and there no brakes. I have bleed them several times and there is no air in the system. Is there somthing else i need to change for the brakes to work? any help would be appreciated.

Most disc brakes take a little more volume to work. When you changed the master does it have a larger reservoir for the front brakes ? and are you getting enough throw on your brake pedal to move enough fluid?

it has be bigger front resevoir and i had to shorten my push rod a little and that is probabley where my problem is i might have shortend it to much and it doesnt have enought throw to keep the pressure theremaybe
