where is a good place to pick up some 3/16 flat plate and some channel for a reasonable price.a live in lynnwood but i work in seattle so hopefully there is something in that area.

Are you nuts? They sell small quantities of oddball stuff for silly prices.

For flat bar, Whiteside in Clearview has a good selection, and decent prices.

Oh and try Everett Steel's surplus bay (bay #1) for the channel.

thank you , but i didn't think that they would have the right size channel at work and they did so i was able to get what i want for free. was also able to get a good chuck of 1/4 plate for free.
now just have to wait intill my buddy can come over and fab a new 2 piece skidplate

my good chuck of 1/4 plate is about 24 inches by 50 inches. i really wanted 3/16 but for free i will take it.

Ive had good luck picking up flat stock, box steel and angle iron at body shops. They ususally scap some pretty good stuff. Just a thought.
