carnage in the Canyons

I took a much needed day off and went out to our secret spot and did some rock crawlin.

Had a great day of wheelin and damn near destroyed my sj410 trying to fallow the big rigs through the canyon.

Heres Jeatons "****ter" sportin 42"stickies and 114"wheelbase,4.3l.

Orange crush's land Cruiser.Givin her the shakedown run after his one ton conversion.Sportin 42"irocs 114" wheelbase 350 chev.

Hoffman made it down for the weekend with his zuke buggy.Sportin 39"irocs 113" wheelbase,Vitara 1.6 16 Valve.

My sj410 sportin 32"tires 80" wheelbase and 1.0l engine :haha:

This canyon is super nasty.The rubicon and the built renegade elected not to go down into her and watched from the top of the ridge.

I just couldnt see hanging out up top with the Heeps :looser:so I put the sj410 through the paces.Knowing theres no way it could wheel through this canyon,but Ive got a new winch and Im always up for a good challenge.:redneck:

first obstucle I tried to crawl it but theres just no way its to steep and im to short.So a heavy dose of the skinny wheel launched me over the top.

Bouncing and thrashing through the next I manged to cilp the edge of the canyon and started an avalanch.

caved in the pass door filled the cab with glass.I kept her hammered down:awesomework:

super nasty to steep for my sj but I had to try

Dennis runnin for his life as the rapped up sj gives it another shot:haha:

As you can see Ive got 3 tires off the ground and throttle down,so guees what.POP!!! GOES THE REAR AXLE.damnit.So I had to finish my day on top of the hill with the 2 heeps

Carnage:landcruiser's ram came loose no biggy just cranked bolt back down.

sj 410: one front fender,one rocker panel,one door and glass,one rear axle,pretty trashed rear driveline.

More motivation to get my buggy built.:haha::beer:

It was the canyons are so nasty,great wheelin.I think my buddies found some new respect for the lil zuki.:awesomework:bottom line I drove it out of there under its own power and bummed a ride the rest of the way on orangecrushes trailer.Didnt feel good about driveing it 20 some miles down the highway with a broke rear axle.:haha:
