i like yours better!!!! nice rig!:awesomework:

Got it for $1000, the guy I got it froms 80 he said he got it when he was 60 and totaly went threw it and fixed it up, a year or so ago it didint have spark so he dug iinto it and then it sat, so hopefully its a simple fix, the brakes didnt work when towed home,Im excited its what I really wanted , price was right and location couldnt have been better, I offered him $1500 without looking at it and than as we looked at it he said I could take it for $1000, anyone know the limited of this baby engine? Im hoping it will handle the 32s I want to mount up and still have power to climb, plans are tires, winch, top, rear bumper, rear locker and go wheelin

The motor will be fine. What gears are in the axles ? Common are 5:38s and 4:27s. your weak link will be the axle shafts. they dont like hp or big agressive tires but 29s-32s should be fine if your not aggressive with the skinny pedal. Theres a 44 rear axle for this rig in the parts section for $100 godd spare parts.

cool...some toyota running gear and a fuel injection....better springs....box in that little frame....done...oh yaeh winch...and a good cage...no need to get crazy..

so what diffs do I have ? How can I tell what ratio? how bout them rear axles what are they?

Front axle could be a dana 25 or 27 theres a number cast into the pumpkin. the rear is a tapered axle 44. Look for a tag on one of the dif cover bolts for the ratio. If gone then you can check two ways. Pull the cover and look for the numbers on the side of the ring gear or jack the rear up and put it on stands. put the rig in nuetral. Put a chalk mark in the 12 o-clock position on the tire. Put another chalk mark on the pinion yoke so you can see it. Rotate the tire one ful rotation while watching the pinion. Count the number of times the pinion rotates. If it rotates just over 4 times then its 4:27 if it rotates almost 5.5 times then its 5:38.

worked on it half a day got it running , runs great, added some brake fluid and worked the air out they work been drivin it around to day, took the kids for a ride got it stuck in our wooda, I was stradlin a log and the spring u bolt studs pocked intp a log and wanted to stay there, Im ready for the locker and some mud tires, also need some good bumpers and a hilift jack :cheer::bananadance: :cheer::bananadance:

awesome scott.id rock that!good job.
he is right, get a slippable locker for that thing , or the slippery slope gets worse and worse.next thing you know you'll end up swappin axles out to soon.....cheers, b

Waggies aren't that difficult to swap under these rigs....Cost there would be regearing....and locker at that point, oh, and fitting p/s...and...:redneck:
