Crawler and Hauler for under 2k

For those folks who says you can't have fun in this sport on the cheap; this post is for you.

I bought both of these for 900 each. The buggy still needs a little tinkering and I have to put an alternator and a belt on the truck. There are no bolts holding the seat in and the window cranks and door latch are gonna be cheap vice grips. Should be able to do it for under 2k total.

I will try and keep up with some of the tinkering too. Here's a few pictures of the set up.

It is a 350...I am looking to see what version. They range from 255 to 370 horse. It's a 4 speed with a pto. Haven't been able to get under it yet

My sleep has gotten better over the last year or two. Maybe I average 5 hours. Wheelbase? I'll measure in a bit.

That looks like a great Project for a LS ..... :****:
Nah. It's got a pretty healthy 350 in it. If it dies, I will sell it and move on.

Man, you must have one good understanding wife Kel, this should put you up around the 10-12 ish number of projects you have going on all at the same time.

Re:

Name one crawler that isn't work? As far as the truck, name something complicated. 4 speed, carbureted 350. No extra coolers and power steering and power brakes are the only real options. It's as easy to work on as a truck cam get. Plenty of space in the engine bay. Hell, I just spent almost a grand on A/C and both alternators in the power stroke.
