hey guys, we are putting a HP D60 in my 95 XJ. so far the biggest problem has been that since im still on leafs we are needing to widen the leafs to fit the 60 vs the D44 i pulled out. to do this we are going to make new shackle brackets which isnt that big of deal, BUT the outside of the brackets will be in space with nothing to weld to. we are looking for ideas on how to tie the rear into either my cage and unibody. has anyone seen or come across this that might be willing to share some pointers? thanks

Plenty pix and write ups on google/pirate.

Good thing about anything Cherokee is.....everyone's already done it and made a write up about it.

Not the best pic but It's all I have at the moment. The back has 1 side of the mount tacked up but the outside or in this picture the close side will be hanging outside of the unibody

I take it you are using a SuperDuty Axle? Here is what a friend did, but he kept his shackles in the front instead of reversing them. Cool to see another leaf sprung XJ getting built, I run 3.5" BDS YJ's up front and stock Durango's in back. What is your plans

ok, now that's what i am looking for. I am running a 91 f350 axle, i didnt realize until yesterday they have different perch lengths in the 60's.. still learning! i have 63'' chevy springs front and rear. i had planned on doing link next year but if i can get set back up with leafs and the 60 and still get around like i want, i may stay with leafs just because they are simpler.. this has really been better than i guessed on leafs, still flexes out nice. if i stay with leafs eventually i will try the slider mounts and see if that helps. thanks for the pictures!

I'm in ponca city ok. We went ahead and did a shackle reverse tonight. Didn't finish but got tabs and brackets cut. We also plated the unibody and tied it into the bumper and cage.
