Hardline Crawlers - Rock Bouncer Builds, Tech & Off-Road Trail Talk

Help Support Hardline Crawlers:

What GM, and even tractor companies like John Deere, argues is that you, as an owner, don’t actually own your car. Rather, you’re sort of just borrowing it for an extended amount of time and paying for the rights to use the technology. If it sounds ridiculous— it is. But it gets even more ludicrous.

"Borrowing" :flipoff:

It's happening regardless. Newer Chryslers need the computer reset after changing a headlight. Your $100 scanner isn't getting into that module

It will never happen. The American society is built around the car, lots of our traditions and so forth are built around the car--it will never fly.

Granted I can greatly gain from this--but it will never happen and it shouldn't...

I was just mentioning this at work. I swapped out two impact sensors, drivers airbag, seatbelt, pretensioner, and airbag module on a honda civic, and the system reset itself when I reconnected the battery. Move over to the dodge dart, and because I unplugged the air shutter when I removed the bumper, I had to plug in the scanner to reset it. :eeek: :haha:
