Ford Sterling 10.25

Has anyone built one of these axles? and Has anyone had any problems with them?

I got one the other day. Only thing herd bad is that the tubes might spin in housing. I am goining to drill and tap and put in some 3/8 grd 8 bolts.

I got one in my bronco that I welded the spider gears with 4.10s I got a 460 witha 4spd no problems....

i got one welded with 4:88 gears chep if any body needs one there are strong

I run a sterling welded tubes,welded spiders, 5:38 gears and no problems other then I hate how low the calipers hang.

I hate to hack this thread but has anyone shaved the 10.25? Im fixin to do mine and was just wandering

I am thinking about cutting the extra iron trus off the bottom . But havent yet .... You first!

Im just goin to cut mine straight across the bottom and leave about a 1/2in gap between the plate and ring gear
