frame plating Q

I'm trying to plate some tearing on my beer can toyota frame. :wtf: From what i hear you don't want straight edges going up the frame. Is it better to have "Z" type pattern or a "C" type shape for the sides?

the welding process of welding a verticle line creates a stressor on the frame. you do not want verticle stressors on the frame.
