Where's the "fill it all the way and run it all the way down 'til the low fuel light is on" option? I don't like stopping for fuel.

You didn't give the option of drive till the light comes on and then blow 80-90bucks in one big wad.

x2
i dont even pay attention the gas gauge until the gas light comes on then just fill it up.

fill after it hits half full.

Going less than 1/4 tank is hard on in-tank fuel pumps.

did you read that on the net :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha:

running them "dry" is hard on plastic vane fuel pumps...

I had heard the pumps used the surrounding fuel to cool themselves.

gas tank, I generaly keep it between 1/4 and 3/4 full throwing 10s and 20s at it to keep it there.

and use public transit as necessary.

Where's the "fill it til the pump cuts me off at the $75 limit" option?

Where is the $$$ option. You know. Got to the filling station and fill it up till the credit card limit is hit. Then re-insert the card and fill it a second time.

Fixed it for you. :flipoff: I've had only one station, one time, that let me run the same card twice. I even had one once where I used a different card to top it off and it told me no. If they won't let me do it without having to go stand in line and talk to Habib then they don't get any more of my money.

DD: Lately I fill at ¼ tank cos it doesn't hurt the wallet as bad.....:D
Jeep: Fill it every trip...No gage, let alone a light?

I've heard that you shouldn't run the tank on the bottom half all the time cos it's hard on Fuel pumps in the tank......The in-tank pumps rely on the liquid fuel to keep them cool, if the tank is always below half then they can over heat???? No facts here but it makes sense to me?

i usually throw $20s at it once it gets to about half. i need a new sending unit tho, because once the gauge gets to about half a tank, the needle drops like it isnt getting any power. it rises occasionally to tell me how much gas i have, but there is no help until the light comes on once i get below 1/4 tank.

I dont like to get below half a tank, unless on a road trip, then I want to stop as lil as possable....
If that makes any sence....:wtf:

i never let the diesel get below a quarter tank, filled to about 3/4...but since i "fixed" my IP timing i can go 18-20 on a gallon so that doesn't happen but once a week or so :D

i am going to start making my own i think...if i can come up with less than $2.50/gallon on the final product it will be worth my time ;)

Yea I wait until that warning pops up on the screen and tells me to save your work because the battery is low then I plug it in and get it back up to full again... I can run for about 3 hours.:haha:

chevy's don't like to have their fuel pumps running without fuel covering them. they over heat then quit. so down to 1/4 tank then fill up.

I usually just throw about $20 at it whenever I think it needs it, My odometer only works about half the time and the fuel gauge is stuck on E most of the time so I dont worry about it too much..

My pickup is VERY rarely below a 1/4 tank... I have a weird phobia of being low on gas. I honestly don't even know if my pickup has a light or not... I've never pushed it that far.

Not sure where this phobia came from, but when I fill up it's always the entire tank.

I think it's part of my OCD when it comes to driving... I'm heading back to Olympia tomorrow and I ALWAYS stop at the same gas stations each time.

My record in my TJ is 64 miles with the gas light on.

Wait till mom comes to visit and have her fill it up for me. :cheer:

Im inconsistent. Sometimes I fill at half tank and sometimes I fill it when the light goes on. I guess I let it go low tank to avoid inner tank buildup from never goin below half tank. Last thing I want is in an emergency when I have to run all the tank to almost empty and all the shiat pluggin up the filter...
