I'm kicking myself because I wasn't thinking and just put a full tank of diesel in my truck last night... I forgot that I have to drop the tank this weekend to install my Vulcan draw straw (if it shows up by this weekend that is)... I may end up putting that off until NEXT weekend after I've burned through a good portion of the tank..

orrrr you can have a few buddies over and take the bed off.. that's what I do :D .

I fill then run till the light on both trucks.. but it's a helllllll of a lot nicer to fill up this little yota at 25 bucks every week instead of the twin swipe Ram at 90 bucks every week. :clappy: I am in absolutely NO hurry to get that big bastard on the road anytime soon.. I'm thinkin another year.

I fill it up when I stop, however I willnow be changing my rule...when it hits 1/4 tank, i am stoping...I will not be caught on E and have to sit in line for 4.5 hours to get fuel again....EVER

Think that's easier than dropping the tank eh?

I may just end up doing that... tail light wiring, third brake light canopy wiring, a few bolts, and a good heave-ho from 4 people should do the trick.

I've had the bed off 3 times. Friends, then a car lift, then a backhoe. I just think dropping the tank is too much of a pain. And everything is right there in front of ya when the bed is off.

i am a mixture between throwing a few bucks in, and running it until the little light is on. i know that when that light is on... i have a gallon left. then i give it like 15 bucks to about a half tank... which really isnt a half tank. its more like 3/8 of a tank. then i run it down and repeat.
