also a buddy of mine that lives outside of bessemer that has a railbuggy was told by 2 different folks that as long as it wasnt a caos event they could ride but at the caos events it would be left up to them as to whether or not railbuggys were allowed????????

i know what the website "says" but i also know for a fact that railbuggys were "allowed" at toys for tots last year plus spring fling & june jam this year so i thought i would ask about fall crawl

but as far as "4 wheel drive" goes,,,,,,,,,,, well,,,,,,,, a railbuggy will nearly idle up places a lot of stock "4 wheel drive" vehicles can barely (if even) go and as for a sxs well i reckon most if not all are "4 wheel drive" and i would love to see a sxs play follow the leader with a railbuggy :driving:

i guess i just dont get it but chocco and windrock has hosted railbuggy hillclimbs for woodsbuggy.com for the past 2 year and golden mtn did an event for them last year and harlan did an event for them this year plus they are allowed at witc, crusher ridge, stoney lonesome, and hawk pride (i think that covers most of big name parks in this part of the country) :****:

oh well i guess the railbuggy guys will have to wait till tim cameron or bryan cole gets one so that railbuggys will be "allowed" in greyrock at caos events :dunno:

Look, I'm not trying to argue, I'm just stating that WE are following Tony's rules for the park. If other people allow them in then that is there choice and they may or may not have worked that out with Tony.

like i said earlier not trying to argue here either, only a conversation asking a question and stateing a few facts, and thought that maybe the rules had just not been updated on the website :dunno:

regardless im pretty sure there will a few railbuggys there this comeing weekend at september slam 8)

Personally I think they're fine at the park. In addition, they were at this last ride and the "rules" were already written...so. My guess is rather than asking Tony, CAOS just likes to enforce anything they can. That's why I always pick this ride to stay home.

Actually CAOS has decided to follow the park rules. They posted on their site that both UTVs and rail buggies will be allowed. I asked keith Bailey to clear up the rules last weekend.

I have to give kudos to CAOS on this one.

At the time of the announcement, we had not been informed of the rule change. When we got clarification then we made the revision. We were not trying to exclude anyone. Our apologies to everyone for the confusion.

I'm sorry you feel that way but one of the great things about America is that you can choose to stay home if you want. We try to make it a good time and as safe as possible but understand we can't make everyone happy either. If there is something you'd like to see changed then please let us, Tony or Keith know and it will be discussed.

One thing everyone has to keep in mind is that this ride isn't geared solely to the "rockbouncers" we try to cater to families who want to come out and spend the day in their stock to slightly modified vehicle riding around checking out the action or trying their hand at an obstacle. CAOS just had a work day with Keith out at GR making some new trails for this very reason, to give the smaller rigs access to other areas of the park.
