The gate needs to be closed and locked.... Its very apparent that there is a long drop off there--no reason for anybody but quads/bikes to be up theredue to the trail that runs along the ridge.

I think i've been up there on my quad, and if its the same spot, thats a spooky ****in ridge just knowing whats on the other side. :puke:

So is there anything we can do about this who do we need too talk to?To get a lock on that gate?

Finally, First hand FACTS.

From Naxja:

I found out last night what actually happened.....one of our sjc members actually knows the guy....they work with one of his parents he was only 23 years old

Apparently he was up by himself on the trails...his truck went over an embankment...he wasnt wearing his seat belt and was thrown from his truck and died on the scene...
Thats all there is to the story....everything else is not true.

A painfull reminder to never go alone and ALWAYS wear your seatbelt

When going over a cliff / embankment that big I think your best bet on living is to get thrown from the vehicle...

One of my friends dip**** little brother and his friend were drunk and took his dads F250 off about a 700' "cliff" up here last year. They were both thrown out the windows, and if they would have been in seatbelts they would have both been killed (boo hoo, they both suck anyways) because by the time the truck got to the bottom the back of the cab was almost touching the dash.

I think the best bet is to not drink and drive around cliffs!
 
out at liberty there was the jeep liberty that went down the cliff at the top of the hill climb, out of four people in the rig one survived, he got tossed out too.
i think it's more the "will of god" that he survived then not wearing a seat belt.
i will always wear the seat belt, chances are of getting in so kinda of wreak that would kill you for not wearing one far out weigh the freak chance that you would be better off not wearing one.

p.s: my best friend died up out of buck meadows on the forest service road because he he wasn't wearing a seat belt.
it sucked to get a call from his brother telling me that he wreaked and the jeep landed on him and killed him instantly, people that arrived on sight before the dust settled couldn't do any thing for him. dead, gone and missed painfully.

Don't suppose anyone remembers the plate # on the Bronco? If the kid who went off the cliff owned that rig or Mr drunk cowboy had stolen it and let the kid drive drunk after filling up ol brown eye, then he walked away. Jeez, it's beginning to sound like Brokeback Reiter!

I think the best bet is to not drink and go wheeling period,but if your going to drink just have a few not a whole half rack and expect to wheel like when your sober.
