H tough is a 14 bolt locker

So how reliable is a 14 bolt Detroit... Lets say 42 tsls on hummer beads and 500 rear hp rock bouncing time to time and 4.56s

I'd say go with a spool. I run 38s with a stock 5.3 and I'm not a fan of mine. It pops and snaps like its fixing to come apart but it never has. That may just be the nature of a Detroit. There's nothing in a spool that can make it fail unless something really bad happens.

Mine is welded now. :****: Everytime I broke a 14 bolt shaft it shattered the side gears on my detroit. As far as I have always heard this happens ALOT!

I dont think they are making a Zip locker for the 14 bolt yet.
