That IS an option. But not my first choice.
Thought somebody might be in the know.

Now they're telling me they can't figure out how to insure it.

I ran into that problem with my F550. Due to the GVWR, most companies wont touch them, you'll need to get a commercial policy on it. I'd check with Progressive, that's who I had insurance through on it initially.

I ended up switching everything over to State Farm, they were able to insure it as a personal vehicle policy instead of commercial, not sure if they could do that with something as big as your rig though.

RVI
Even has Renault diamonds on it.
which is funny because if it was renault car I wouldn't want it.

My brother had his F550's, and his H1 Hummer that was built into a fire truck all insured thru State Farm without any issues...

Now I need a winch, need to weld on d rings, and need some straps.
Which brings up a question......
Axle, tire, or frame straps?

Axle.

The only compression that the chains and straps see is the very, very small movement from tire compression.

Frame/body will seriously slack the straps as the suspension cycles.

Those would be fine. I personally like separate axle straps and tie-downs, that way if the axle strap gets damaged or worn, it can just be replaced separately rather than junking the whole thing. I have replaced all my axle straps once and only had to replace 1 tie-down (the ratchet mechanism broke).

I got Summits separate strap style ones with a nifty carry bag for a a hundred I believe :awesomework:

Straps on the way. Got a winch and related stuffs.
This thing is almost ready. :awesomework:
