Friday afternoon we headed over to the east 40 to scout some new lines/loops and clear some tumble weeds as there are a few places over there that are always packed in...... we didnt want a hot exhaust pipe to spark one off;

We found a new line that we didnt try because there was alot of tumble weeds and we didnt wanna break anything the first run of the weekend. We did the loop and found the usual spots full of TW's as expected..... here's on of the major places after we cleared it;

Dan, Julia and Jim showed up at precisely 5:00 as promised and we just hung out the rest of the evening. Saturday morning brought Jim and John from Flag and Jay up from Phoenix for his first trip to the Cracks. We decided, as always, to run the main trails in the usual direction for the first part of the day;

Jim decided we want to play on an optional buggy line only to break a front axle on his return trip to the main line...... He and John went back to camp to repair the axle in record time..... they almost caught up with us......

During lunch the clouds made their appearance with some wind and about 3 drops of rain but that died down and we were off to the North Wall;
