Houton Pocket Payson AZ

Friday was the "maiden" voyage for the new Syota and we did a 3.0 trail out of Payson to some indian ruins and some old cowboy cabins south of town. Truck did great cept for some trans issues on teh highway back into town that ended up fixing itself the next morning????

No real rocks but a damn good time anyway;

The storm was still lingerin around and made for some erie moments and restricted the scenery;

We dropped into and climbed out of a few canyons along the way and ended up in this valley with some cool indian ruins and rock formations;

Comin up to the cowboy cabins, there is alot of history about these as they were used up til about 5 years ago;

inside the orignal stone and mud cabin;

There was a cool truck spotted out the window;

The newer one was wood and had a few modern features;

but not restrooms;

We had lunch at the cabins and then went further down the trail to a rock out-cropping to play around abit but the rocks were all wet, our tires were packed with AZ clay and there were puddles everywhere;

Plus we were about 30 miles from civilization

On our way back we saw this old rock formation but we couldn't figure out why they would build it?

We also got rained on pretty good for about an hour on the way back. Was a great day with the High Country Renegades out on the trail.

Yea, loves em. they're blue labels but he wanted something more streetable and he is tires of the iroks holdin him back on the slickrock trails of the Cracks and Moab.
