• Help Support Hardline Crawlers :

Iron Duck Fab #8 my buggy build

yup, and its .188 wall. Its pretty damn tough to get both to match but bendtech helps a ton on the bending/rotating between bends. Hardest part is making the notch at the back, holding up/marking it and then figuring out how to support a 10' long tube while notching. Luckily I had some help here when I did those tubes on this chassis.

.188?

Is that because of what he did to the a pillar on that poor TJ? molaugh

Yup, after "the crash" that just helped me confirm that using .188 in the roof section is the way to go.

Am I seeing a full length skid pan...hmmmm...... Not a bad idea......won't get hung on anything.

Yes the engine skid ties into the belly pan creating a skid from the crank pulley back past the rear output

Makes sense, I remember Paul A saying he wished he had used .188 in impact areas on his buggy after denting a roof tube at Hale.

Some super sweet shock mounts.

When you're boxing these mounts in, what's the material thickness? Just using a torch to form it to the shape of the two bigger mounts? Y'all hiring?

It's 1/4" on the sides and top piece, the bottoms are 1/8". I bent it all in the brake just using a bunch of small gradual bends to make the arc. Sure, but the hours are terrible, boss is a jerk, no benefits and the pay is awful.

Been a while since an update. Got it all moved into the new shop and working on it again finally, here's some random pictures of stuff
