John Force jus got smarter? Whhhhhhaaaaaaaa?

You know the old saying..."if you can't beat em....join".....as hell, he won how many championships.... lol...guess he finally needed a new challenge... lol

Oh yeah, because the moniker "race on Sunday, sell on Monday" is so true in funny cars. They are soooo close to an actual Camaro, hell it even runs a 6.2 LS3... wait... they share NOTHING in common? SAY IT AINT SO!!!

It was a business decision. Chevrolet said, "If we give Force a bunch of money to switch, any Ford person won't feel so bad about switching."

He said the economy is tough no one has the money to build a ford motor to hang with a chevy

Ford Motor Company will drop all of their NHRA sponsorship after the 2014 season. In a press release Ford said,

"Ford is not getting out of drag racing. We are fully committed to continue our support of grassroots sportsman drag racing with our Mustang Cobra Jet, parts support and contingency programs. Enthusiasts and production-based racing is at the heart of what we do. We have, however, made a business decision to conclude our team sponsorships and support in the NHRA Mello Yello Series at the end of the 2014 season. This decision was based on an ongoing assessment of our motorsport programs' effectiveness and the strategic alignment with our company objectives globally."

Obviously the biggest loser in this decision will be John Force, who's wrapped most of his corporate sponsorship around Ford. With Funny Cars running mystery bodies with Mustang headlight graphics and Chrysler hemi-based engines, and Pro Stock racecars running carburetors, there is a huge disconnect between what's raced on Sunday and sold on Monday.
