how common are the heavy duty th350 cases, I just broke my tranny and want to replace it with a heavy duty case

I have heard that there 4x4 cases were thicker but are they any beefier where the t case adapter bolts up .

From what I can remember the "K" case is not any stronger in the tailshaft area and really not any stronger of a case. And the "K" case is not a common case.

Where did yours break?

Its got a crack on the drivers side lower bolt area (leaking atf), cant get a good look at it because of the fully welded belly on my buggy , I pulled the t case and resealed the adapter and she still leaks

is there a way to tell a 2wd case from a 4x4 ,

I did find a tanny with the biggest tcase I have ever seen. i think its a full time 203.

Mine says T 6

It says T 10 on the side , . but not K on the passenger side bell housing

Do what crash said or wap your output into a 2wd case. But to swap the output you have to pull all the guts out of the tranny so you may be better off finding a good 4x4 tranny.
I don't think the K castings are any thicker but they usually are machined to accept a aluminum dust cover with engine braces instead of a sheetmetal one without. the aluminmum adds rigidity to the bellhousing and the braces run forward to the engine block near the engine mounts. this was done to prevent bellhousing breakage due to the added torque multiplication of the transfer case when in low range.

I was planing on swaping the guts out of mine , because it was just rebuilt 3 moths ago.:eeek:

hoping the 4x4 case was beefier at the tail stock , Is a pain in the ass to pull the tranny , I have to remove the interior of the buggy and pull the tanny through the interior, ,Its a ****y 16 hour re and re

The big issue with tranny case failures usually isn't because of the case. Look closely at your mounting points...
