Just heard Kimberly-Clark is trying to sell the plant in Everett but there's no buyers so they are going to close the place down?

That will be a lot of jobs lost... :booo:

My step dad worked there for 30 yrs just retierd in may. Im glad i turned down that job offer last month. Hope it all works out for all those people.

Dang! So people are figureing out how to decrease the usage of tp :booo:

I hope it gets bought or reopened!

So finally you Everett people wont have the same aroma as Tacoma has from its paper mill... Or is there another mill?

****ty deal all the way around...:booo: They must be on the Obama workers plan...

They have been trying to find a buyer since last January, and if they don't find one by this january, they will close thier doors. Definatley sucks for all those families dependant on that income.....

Yeah it really sucks. I happen to be one of the many that work here. Currently looking for a good job so I can take care of my family.

Recessions suck, and it's only getting worse :booo:

It's really more of a depression.

The unemployment rate alone, as calculated back in the great depression days, is closer to 20-22%. The gov't changed how the calculated this decades ago to make it look better than it is. The great depression was 25%.

Our economy hasn't really improved since the last bubble burst, it's been pretty stagnant.

The only people not calling it a depression are the economists that helped create this mess in the first place and the politicians that don't want a depression started on their watch.
