looking to swap out my 4 speed for and auto cj7

i have a 1984 cj7 with the 258. 4 speed not sure what its call but i have the dana 300. 6 inches of lift with chrome moly axles with 373 gears.riding on some 37 tires. im not sure which trans to get to replace the 4 speed with. looking for something that will bolt right up. the 727 sounds like a good swap but after reading about the front driveshaft clearance problems not sure if thats a good ideal. ive seen some info on the 999 but i dont want it to break down on me while riding in the woods. any ideals? not really wanting to spend 500 + dollars on a plate to make something work. ive seen something on the turbo 400. but i wouldnt know how to tell them apart. amc/gmc. thanks

Get a TH400 out of a older wagoneer it will bolt up i have that in mine. also do you want to sell the 4 speed I am looking for one if so

I have a dodge 360 with a tf727 that's ready for a d300. Had it in my cj. The driveshaft was not an issue.
I'd get you a sweet deal on it if you're wanting to upgrade.
