bad cap or rotor. got a continuity tester? check from the coil port outside the dist cap to the center terminal inside the cap. those are made pretty cheap sometimes. try the old cap if you want to test it. Hey did you ever sell that scout I traded to you? that 304 still running? Your problem has to be in the cap or rotor.
check your rotor button, its the little spring loaded part coming out of the cap that makes contact with the rotor. did it run before you changed parts if so switch back 1 part at a time till it goes then you know whats bad sounds like an easy fix though:011:
ya it ran fine, then all of a sudden i had no spark. i will check the new cap and rotor closely maybe they somehow got cracked. thanks for the help.. and i still have the 75 that scout has yet to give me trouble, hopin to tear down this summer for paint
