Re: Matt O's S&N Fab Buggy Updates & KOH Prep/Rebuild

WOW! Your avatar pic is killing me also. Is that the same rig? ;D

I went frame by frame on the video trying to catch glimpses of a few things. It seriously looks great!

Re: Matt O's S&N Fab Buggy Updates & KOH Prep/Rebuild

I will be heading to pick it up on Thursday afternoon! Can't wait!

Re: Matt O's S&N Fab Buggy Updates & KOH Prep/Rebuild

Think we got it tonight After the 10 th spring change.
Did a ton of dialing in the secondary rates and when to bring them in trying to walk the line between ride and control, while not relying completely on the bumps. So I guess we are pretty much done except a few minor things :woody: We did add a sway bar and it really really helped make the ride more secure feeling and makes it easier to whip the tail around in turns hopefully will help in the sand. Plus the front is faster to correct if you get into a bad landing IE: less weight transfer in overcorrection.
Now we get to see if Matt has the sack for running this thing hard... because I believe it is ready :fish:

One thing though... ;D
I would recommend some type of brake upgrade If possible. In Baja brakes were the most important aspect of the vehicle. More important than being able to hit things at speed, was the ability to hit things at a desired speed or avoid obstacles altogether.

Front looks decent I wish it was on my buggy

Thats it for me I will let Matt tell you how he likes or dislikes it when he gets it back

Badass Jimmy !!!

Looking forward to checking it out, and this Saturday I have an idea of a highspeed obstacle that its going to get tested on !! :afro: I want to see this thing WOT getting it so bad I can taste it !!!

Re: Matt O's S&N Fab Buggy Updates & KOH Prep/Rebuild

Words cannot describe how much I appreciate your help Jimmy. From the little avatar pic you have I can tell it is beyond sick. I already love it and I have not seen it! I think the style you have added to the rig makes it truely unique. P and I discussed the other night how cool it is to have a West Coast built chassis now merged with Southern styling. It is now a very unique rig, and I believe it will attract some attention in SoCal. Not to mention it has a suspension setup to take a beating. Hats off to you guys, I am going to beat it like it owes me money this weekend! Is it Thursday yet? :woody:

Re: Matt O's S&N Fab Buggy Updates & KOH Prep/Rebuild

Re: Matt O's S&N Fab Buggy Updates & KOH Prep/Rebuild

Oh yeah, the brakes do suck bad. I will get some ideas from you tommorrow Jimmy! Damn I am so stoked right now I want to head that way and get it NOW!

Re: Matt O's S&N Fab Buggy Updates & KOH Prep/Rebuild

Your brakes suck ? Hmmm that isnt good at all , gotta correct that issue ASAP now that she is capable of carrying serious trail speed ! thumb.gif loller.gif

I guess they don't suck, but they are not stop on a dime either. In low range first gear the car tries to drive through them but that is gearing. Crusing the street they stop OK, just not on a dime. Might just need some maintenance like new pads/rotors. It has manual brakes with a dual MC.

Re: Matt O's S&N Fab Buggy Updates & KOH Prep/Rebuild

I just need to drive this thing a good bit and "feel" it out some as well. thumb.gif

( you like that subtle **** laughing1 )

Very nice! I am going to get as much feedback from Jimmy as a I can tommorrow about his seat time. You need to drive it some for sho and see what you think.

the $ for the shox went out yesterday, you will see it anywhere between tommorrow and November 1st.
Lay's check took 9 days from the post mark, cubby's check took 4. ???
I wanna see some aired out pics :woody:

Thanks Kelly, I think the shocks have good oil levels for the kind of wheelin you guys do. Should be a good starting point at least. I have found that max oil works better in the airs if you are going to be bumping stuff.

Hopefully we can get some pics and videos from this weekend!
