Matt O's Ultra4 Buggy - EOR Racing #4462

Re: Matt O's S&N Fab Buggy Updates & KOH Prep/Rebuild

Think we got it tonight After the 10 th spring change.
Did a ton of dialing in the secondary rates and when to bring them in trying to walk the line between ride and control, while not relying completely on the bumps. So I guess we are pretty much done except a few minor things :woody: We did add a sway bar and it really really helped make the ride more secure feeling and makes it easier to whip the tail around in turns hopefully will help in the sand. Plus the front is faster to correct if you get into a bad landing IE: less weight transfer in overcorrection.
Now we get to see if Matt has the sack for running this thing hard... because I believe it is ready :fish:

One thing though... ;D
I would recommend some type of brake upgrade If possible. In Baja brakes were the most important aspect of the vehicle. More important than being able to hit things at speed, was the ability to hit things at a desired speed or avoid obstacles altogether.

Front looks decent I wish it was on my buggy

Thats it for me I will let Matt tell you how he likes or dislikes it when he gets it back

That Ninja looks pimp. Where are the big pics damnit.

Re: Matt O's S&N Fab Buggy Updates & KOH Prep/Rebuild

I think he is holding off for the surprise factor. I will try to get some up before this weekend, or just come look at it on your way to your favorite ORV park :flipoff1:

Re: Matt O's S&N Fab Buggy Updates & KOH Prep/Rebuild

I am a now a part of the super top secret TN mafia. Truth is Jimmy sent me a text this morning and said, "Thanks for the camera I will be careful with it." I left it in his truck when we went to dinner last night like a dumbass. So yeah no pics.

All I can say is Jimmy is a top notch guy and has really helped give us a chance in this LCQ race. His work is QUALITY. The whole crew at EOR had a hand in it some way, I appreciate all their help. For those of you that have seen the rig before, the front axle is a packaging nightmare. Jimmy pulled off Coilovers, Bumps and a sway bar and it looks so, so clean. He chopped the front tubework off and started over there. Roll bends and dimple dies all bring the sexy and you can see the hood/grill lines which make it look more like a jeep now!

I drove it around the field at speed and it is plush, no more floppy lean. Real stable and controlled, takes turns fast. You can really sling the back in around at speed. Rig is narrow, so it can still get kinda loose in the rear end, but that is mostly because it is so nose heavy. All I can say is that I LOVE the rig, and I will be forever in debt to Jimmy and EOR. If you need parts or fab work you should really give them a chance. One of the best full service shops around IMO.

Believe it old man. Nolen is Tarzan Sr he is older. I will be Jr and Ricky can be the III.
:flipoff1:

If I had not left the camera you guys would probably be seeing pics and interviews from 2 badass shops in TN, Nolen style. But I are dumb and left my camera. :flipper:

Re: Matt O's S&N Fab Buggy Updates & KOH Prep/Rebuild

Yesterday went like this:

Drive 2.5 hours (hauling ass to EOR)
Check out rig, fly through field with it. Tape off front end, paint tubework after unbolting some pieces. Take a ton of pics around the shop for my article. Let paint dry. Run down the road to WOD, get the shop tour, take pics and ask a bunch of questions for the article. Haul ass back to Jimmy's. Get everything finished up, hook up the trailer, had a bad tire had to change it. Load the buggy up then ride to get some grub with Jimmy and crew. Ask Jimmy all my interview questions to, from and during dinner. Drive back to the shop, talk to Jimmy for a while about team goals and exposure as he is the sponsor. Drive 3 hours back home cause it was raining like a *****. Get home at 1am, go to sleep. Wake up and realize camera is in Jimmy's truck.

Sorry fawkers :flipoff1:
