I've got a trip to Memphis coming up for a concert, and I was wondering what area I needed to book a hotel, I've only ever driven through west Memphis, and I know I don't want to stay there.

I'd say stay downtown in one of the new hotels or the Peabody if you like old hotels.

Make sure you check out the new bass pro shop there, it's pretty cool.

That's the only place I've ever been to concerts in Memphis

Just don't go to Fraser or be white in a Waffle House after midnight and you'll be fine lol

I live in MS just across the state line and have businesses in MS and Memphis. I'd recommend staying on Goodman Rd in Southaven if you want to get to a good area. Downtown is another choice but much more money and more likely for break ins.
