milemarker se9500c really hard

ok so i got a milemarker se9500c electric winch a while back for a gift and basically ever since i have started using it its supper hard to free spool is that just the way they are {for anyone who's ever had/ used them }
i called them up the other day they told me to take it apart and grease it up wich worked for about the first 10 or so wraps maby i will just take it apart again and grease the hell out of it

OK, does it try to lock the clutch in when you try to free spool??

Also did you receive it new or used??

Did you make your own mount ? Winches can be hard to free spool if their mounting bolts arnt square.

um not sure about trying to lock the clutch how would i tell stick it in freespool and winch in see if it spools in
but when i pull line out i can hear the gears working and yes i did make my own mount but there is no binding i can se
