I'm going to do a resto on my mothers old 69 Camaro . I'll go ahead and post it here if there is any interest(it will be on cardomain as well). To start I must pick the car up and haul it from Portland ,OR. It has no rust that I know of but as these things go you never really know till you get it all apart. I know how much my mom enjoyed the car and she has so many stories about it.
I want to bring some of the good old days back for her.

Absolutely post the story here!
I had the chance a few years back to buy a 69 RS/SS convertable (Pace-Car). I was a dumbass and didn't take advantage. Little did I know. :booo:

I went and picked up the car from my uncles storage where it's sat for almost two years now . My uncle did quite a bit of work on it till aches, pains and age slowed him to a stop . Lots of loose parts to pack up and haul . I'll start with a few snaps from the pick-up .

Pulled it out for more before I got it all loaded . Took 3 hours to remove all parts from the unit .

Wow. Looks to be in great shape for being in storage for two years.

You never said it was a ragtop! Shame on you! :D

All the parts there? There is an Antique car swap meet coming up in Monroe this weekend, just in case you might need something....

You should get ahold of Chip Foose. He'll make that thing rock. :awesomework:

like putting together a jigsaw puzzel, with out having taken it apart thats gonna be hard/fun whichever way ya look at it. :awesomework:

if done right would be worth tons...do the numbers match?

My uncle has a few picks of the work he did on the under carriage . I'll post them up soon as I can .

Here's a few shots my uncle had . I have quite a few more, I'll load when I got time .

Wow--I gotta say you really have your work cut out for you...

But looking at the pictures it looks like whats been done up to this point has been done right and a great base to work off. And looks like he used etching primer so its good to go...

.... looks like a **** ton of work to end up with a Camaro when your done...

Good luck... and have fun if that is what you want

I got this on a jig normally used for sand rails . Did some cutting and welding and it fits great .
